Rosie did this section by taking part in a Hastings Deanery pilgrimage to Chichester Cathedral, admittedly a few years ago now. But rather than hopping on the coach taking folk there on the Saturday, she spent the previous four days walking there, taking a coastal route. Here are some highlight pictures!

Day 1: Hastings to Eastbourne. Beach huts on the way.

Day 2: Eastbourne to Seaford, via the South Downs Way, and the Vanguard Way. Gosh, a lot of calories were burned up, trekking up and down the Seven Sisters with a strong headwind all day!

As an introvert, Rosie found Brighton to be a stressy, hectic place, especially after the quiet solitude of her walk earlier in the day. The i360 viewing platform was quite impressive though, especially viewed against the backdrop of a sunny blue sky!

The City of Chichester, in Shoreham port. It seemed quite prophetic, as Rosie was heading towards Chichester on this pilgrimage.

Rosie loved the Worthing vibe, as she marched doggedly on towards Littlehampton, despite getting a bit sunburnt and dehydrated, and running out of water, and phone battery and backup, en route. Several lessons were learned today about being better prepared! Even in urban areas you sometimes can't find cafes, shops, loos etc.

Day 5: Littlehampton to Bognor Regis. Rosie loved this rather odd roundabout and road sign seen on the way, but later noted in her diary that "Bognor is a dump, er, I mean not a very attractive place." Sorry, Bognor...
